MEET THE DESIGNER Stephanie Vandagriff toggled with idea of designing children's clothes about a year ago. What started as creating clothes for her kiddos and those of friends turned into a lot more in a matter of time. Thanks to the encouragement of family and friends and some major prayer as to what direction God wanted for her life, Stephanie took the leap in early 2009. With a summer line making a late debut and a Fall line in the works, Mudcake Originals became a fully functional website in late May 2009.
Stephanie is a mom to two adorable kiddos, JD and MacKenzie and the wife to a very supportive and loving husband, Jimmy. Stephanie lives in Cypress, Texas where she spends many hours designing and creating custom clothes for little ones. It's life's many parties that inspired her love of creating clothes in the first place. When Stephanie is not designing, she is tending to her family, chauffeuring kids to and from playdates, preschool, t-ball practice, gymnastics, church, and much more. She is involved in MOPs, volunteers at JD and MacKenzie's school, organizes a playgroup, sits on the board for the Layla Grace Foundation, and spends time in The Word! The concept of "sitting still" and the term "relax" is not something she understands except in the summer. During the summer you have a hard time pulling her away from boating on the lake or camping at the river, unless it is to create some custom clothes of course. Stephanie loves more than anything spending time with her family and feels beyond blessed - our God is good! An area very near and dear to Stephanie's heart is the Layla Grace Foundation.
